About Unipro

Built by the people who'd already lived the problem

For years, we were the ones supporting legacy Student Information Systems, and living with everything they got wrong. Unipro is what we built instead.

Where we started

Legacy systems weren't built for how institutions work today

For years, institutions have relied on legacy Student Information Systems like ITS and PeopleSoft, powerful in their time, but increasingly rigid, expensive to maintain, and slow to adapt to the realities of modern academic administration. Endless workarounds, costly licensing, clunky interfaces, and systems that simply weren't built to talk to each other became the daily reality for the very staff trying to serve students.

Life on legacy platforms

  • Endless manual workarounds
  • Costly, rigid licensing
  • Clunky, dated interfaces
  • Departments that don't talk to each other

Built into Unipro from day one

  • Automation instead of repetitive data entry
  • Cloud infrastructure, not on-prem overhead
  • Flexible, configurable workflows
  • Pricing that scales down to smaller institutions

Unipro was born out of that frustration.

Not another bloated, decade-old platform repackaged with a new interface.

Who built it

People who'd already lived inside these systems

A team of Solutions Architects, software developers, and academic systems staff, people who had spent years inside these legacy systems, not just supporting them but living with their limitations first-hand, came together with a shared conviction: institutions deserved better.

Solutions Architects

Years spent designing how enrollment, records, and finance data should actually connect, not just patching the gaps between systems that don't.

Software Engineers

Engineers who'd shipped inside legacy platforms long enough to know exactly which shortcuts institutions were forced to live with, and refused to repeat them.

Academic Systems Staff

Registrars and administrators who ran admissions, enrollment, and grading by hand when the old system couldn't, and knew precisely what a better one had to do.

How we approached it

Built for the pain points we'd already lived through

Drawing on combined experience across enrollment management, academic records, systems architecture, and software engineering, the team set out to design a Student Information System that takes full advantage of emerging technologies to solve the specific pain points encountered again and again: repetitive manual processes, disconnected departments, rigid customization options, and licensing costs that put modern systems out of reach for smaller institutions.

Where that left us

A progressive, affordable, and adaptable SIS

The result is Unipro: a Student Information System designed to scale from small colleges to large universities, without forcing institutions to choose between capability and cost. Every feature reflects lessons learned from real institutional challenges, because it was built by people who had faced them directly.
